Principals
The Principal of the company is George C. Bitting, a businessman and lawyer with broad and direct exposure to many areas of the domestic oil industry, in which he has been active since 1967.
Mr. Bitting
graduated with distinction from Brown University in 1957 and from
St Louis University Law School in 1963. After serving in the
United States Air Force Reserves, he practiced law in St Louis
until 1967, when he joined Apache Corporation, an independent oil
and gas company. In 1972 he joined the New York staff of G. H.
Walker-Laird & Co., where he became vice president and
manager of tax sheltered investments, specializing in oil and gas
investments, and in 1974 he became president of WOL Securities,
Inc., a subsidiary of Wainoco, Inc., an independent oil company
located in Calgary, Alberta and Houston, Texas. He formed South
Ranch Oil Company, Inc. in 1974, which was reorganized as Nadir
Corporation in 1988, a small independent oil company located in
Midland, Texas.
